St Bernadette’s Bispham

Starting the First Sunday of Lent, 26th February, the group is attending the 11 am Mass, followed by refreshment and Evangelium course in the Parish Hall.

Fr Steve, Fr Andrew and the people of St Bernadette’s have welcomed us with open arms and have been very supportive. We can’t thank them enough. Hope we will be able to repay their kindness in some tangible way soon.

We are now looking forward to our Reception into the Catholic Church and Confirmation on Tuesday 3rd April at 12 noon. We have come a long way from our small beginnings back in December, we have learnt a lot about the Catholic Faith and are making new discovery every day. Our Reception will be the answer to our prayers and aspirations over many, many years, at times we thought the day would never come, but the creation of the Ordinariate by the Holy Father, so unexpected, has made the decision for us and we now can’t wait to play our full part in the Catholic Church in communion with a billion people throughout the world, as well as being heirs to the glorious heritage of saints and martyrs, while retaining our distinct Anglican patrimony and offering it as gift to be shared by the whole Church.

So why don’t you make a weekend of it – enjoy the many amenities and new attractions Blackpool has to offer (the recent transformations have been nothing short of remarkable), and spend the Sunday with us at St Bernadette’s where you will be made very welcome. You can start your preparation for Catholic membership through the Ordinariate at any time – just speak to me or any members of the group.

St Bernadette’s is situated on Devonshire Road in Bispham. There is car park accessed via All Hallows Road. Full address is: 26 All Hallows Rd, Bispham, Blackpool FY2 0AS.
